Peristaltic Pumps
Peristaltic pumps are a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids through a flexible tube without contact with any foreign liquid or matter, to avoid contamination. Peristaltic pumps are therefore ideal for bioprocessing, particularly for single use applications. BioReactor Sciences has developed our own peristaltic pumps in PP-series to couple with our bioreactors for specific applications. We also collaborate with Lead Fluid Technology Co. in representing their complete line of peristaltic pump products in PRO-series. Their extensive product line is of superior quality and value, and represents the very latest in pump technology.
In our own PP-series we specifically developed three peristaltic pumps to couple with our bioreactors for specific processing applications. Each of which uses a specific pumphead for a specific flow range. Each pump is also programmable to further adjust the desirable pumping rate by using ON/OFF holding time.
In the PRO product series, a peristaltic pump system consists of the Drive (Controller/Enclosure), Pumphead, and Tubing. Each of these components are selected based on functionality and range of flow rate. Most of our pumps also have interchangeable pumpheads. We classify the pumps into two categories (click each category to learn more):
Flow-PRO series: primarily for the most common objective of liquid transport
Dispense-PRO: complete system for laboratory dispensing
