Our patented pinch valves use a motor driven actuator to control or obstruct fluid flow through an uninterrupted flow path. Fluid remains in a closed loop in its original tubing eliminating any risk for cross contamination. Being motor driven, the range of "pinch" motion is increased and the tubing is not squeezed within a confined space such as in solenoid-driven pinch valves. This avoids any altering or deformation of the tubing. Pinch motion cut-off is controlled with adjustable maximum motor torque current settings per hose type and size.
The PV150 and 250 model valves are also position-controllable; they can stop and start anywhere along their pinch motion and can be used to control flow rate. To best achieve the targeted stop position along its pinch range, the cycle time for these valves is slowed depending on the application.
Our valves are currently in use with all of our bioreactor systems and many other bioprocessing applications. Our PV10 can accommodate tubing of 3-6 OD mm; PV100 and PV150 tubing of 6-10 OD mm; and PV200 and PV250 tubing of 11-20 OD mm.
Custom valves available for tubing of greater than 20+ mm outer diameter.
